Here’s a quick update as to where we are with 0.1.5: We believe that we’ve identified the key problem and are currently testing a few fixes for it. If all goes well, we may be able to get the update out to you in the next couple of weeks, but we’ll keep you informed if this isn’t going to be the case.
0.1.5 has been a particularly challenging update due to the fact that it focuses primarily on large upgrades to our tech, and multiple under-the-hood improvements.
On a more positive note, the 0.1.6 update that’s been worked on alongside 0.1.5 is currently going through it’s bug bashing phase with QA and so far it’s looking like it’ll be on track to come out early December, though that’s dependent on 0.1.5’s release. Either way, the wait time between 0.1.5 and 0.1.6 will be much shorter than it has been between previous updates! (Weeks, not months.)
And 0.1.6 is BIG. We’ll be showing some of the content in the run-up to the update. Right now, here’s a few of the larger pieces going in:
- The (now infamous) world wipe. This is being done to not only fix some persistent bugs, but also so we can introduce a brand new world map.
- New islands – loads of stunning islands created in the IC are being brought in via the new world.
- The swivel gun and its branch on the Knowledge tree. It won’t be just screenshots and teasers for much longer.
As usual we’ll keep you all in the loop with what’s happening with 0.1.5 if the projected timeline doesn’t hold for whatever reason.
